why-the-need

Why the need

With electricity prices more than doubling in the last 6 years and continued pressure from Eskom for even higher increases, the cost of electricity is one of the single biggest risks to profit margins of energy intensive and reliant businesses. South Africa makes use of non-renewable sources for almost 95% of its energy requirements, which is further exacerbated by the use of diesel generators to supplement emergency electricity generation. The need for sustainable and efficient energy solutions is driven not only by the environmental impact from non-renewable based electricity consumption but also by the ever increasing energy input costs for businesses.
